Mother’s Day Project

This project was all about making a gift for Mother’s Day. I chose to make a sort of sign for my mom. Her favorite color is pink, and whenever she sees a pink she likes, she calls it “Latia Pink.” To make this, I drew a sketch of what I wanted it to look like, and cut out the shape. I sawed out all the letters, drilling holes for interior cuts. Next I cleaned, sanded, and filed my piece down. After this, I enameled the back and the from in and opaque white. Next, I did a layer of, you guessed it. Pink. After that was finished in the kiln, I was done. It’s ready for Mother’s Day!
