Basic Metal Skills

imageimageIn this project, I started  with a 2×2 piece of copper, and cut it in half with a Jewler’s saw. After this, I sanded the two pieces with finer and finer grains of sand paper until they were as smooth as possible. Then I filed down the edges to make sure they weren’t sharp. Lastly, I took one of the pieces, and textured it with a ballpene hammer. Some of the problems I encountered were very slightly crooked sawing, and having to redo some sanding. I might have done a different texture because the one I chose is rather plain. My pieces’ strong suit is definitely simplicity.
